At this moment the Laboratory works on the first stage of an international project leading to a new series of experiments scheduled for autumn 2010 till 2011. In this first, preparatory phase the Laboratory will conduct many interviews with both well-known and upcoming artists from within the European performing arts. The main focus for the interviews lies on the rehearsal process as seen from an international and cross-disciplinary perspective. The interviews will eventually be part of a knowledge bank presenting different methodical considerations and views upon the rehearsal process.
The next stage of the project consists of putting ideas into practice. The Laboratory will design a number of experiments that will plunge into a specific issue based on the interviews; e.g. a recurrent problem, wish or thought. The experiment will map both know and unknown territory; the common problems, their possible solutions and perhaps even uncharted roads in utopian areas.
