How to make an entire city a stage and involve all its citizens?

The experiment aims to realize this genuine mission impossible in the city of of Aarhus.

LABORATORIETs interview project, ”Rehearsal Matters”, reveals that many of the European theatre artists are looking for new performance spaces. Not only to free themselves from the limits of traditional spaces, but also to meet new audiences. This experiment - inspired by the Rehearsal Matters interviews - sets out to involve everybody in a collective and theatrical experience.

The experiment consists of an artistic board that during spring 2011 had lengthy hours with discussing and tossing both grand, dazzling, and crazy ideas. Now they have decided to realize the best idea that involves - ideally - all citizens of Aarhus.
